Sharing my bridal lehenga-buying journey, I, Dr Anuradha Shukla have witnessed the frenzy of wedding preparations among friends and relatives. The quest for the perfect bridal ensemble, footwear, and jewelry becomes a grand affair. And why not, the most important day in one’s life does call for great efforts and grand preparations. Well, my bridal lehenga story was a little offbeat as we had a trump card in our hands that assured us of nothing but the best.
Little did I know that my sister had already set the standard by choosing her stunning lehenga choli from KALKI. With that insider knowledge, I embarked on my own bridal attire quest, knowing exactly where to look for that perfect ensemble.
East Or West, KALKI Is The Best!!
Certain things in life withstand the test of time and have such a rock-solid foundation that they make it seemingly impossible to budge from them. Such is the love and confidence that my family has for KALKI. After my sister’s wedding, I followed my parivarik parampara (family tradition) of being a KALKI bride without even considering any other option. As always, KALKI proved its extraordinary mettle in providing the most majestic bridal attire which won me so many compliments and made me look like a princess that our belief in the motto “East or West, KALKI is the best”, became all the more stronger.

Perfect Blend Of Pardesi Vibes With A Desi Dil
My beloved and now my better half, Dr Deepak Mishra may have proposed to me in a videshi style, on a bustling Oxford Street by going down on his knees with a ring in his hand, with heartfelt emotions in his eyes but everything else about our wedding including our wedding outfits, wedding décor and the overall look was very desi and royal. In a generation where the essence of reds and vibrant colours are missing and where pastels and soft hues are ruling the roost, I despite being a millennial bride decided to choose a scintillating outfit that was close to my roots and elegant at the same time. The great masterpiece exuded royalty and was a sight to behold. Deepak decided to coordinate with my regal look by adorning a heavily embroidered sherwani and look as classy as a member of the royal family.

The Glitzy Avatar Of The Bride And Groom
I don’t wish to blow my own trumpet, but I was simply smitten by the bridal lehenga I bought from KALKI. Words would fall short of describing how magnificent and out of the world the Persian red embroidered lehenga made me look on my D-day. The scallop and the floral embroidery in pink, blue, white, gold etc added extra glam to the outfit and made it very eye-catching. The wedding lehenga choli was paired with two net dupattas, one in red with an embroidered border and the other in mint blue again with an attractive embroidered scalloped border. The dupattas along with a sweetheart neckline blouse and an embroidered belt made the bridal ensemble very attractive and left everyone spellbound.

Exquisite Solah Shringar
I choose to complete my look and make a striking impression by adorning most of the items of the solah shringar. From the beautiful matha patti, maang tikka, nose ring, kundan necklace set to statement-making bangles, and hathphool along with soft bridal makeup, I was dazzling from head to toe and felt on top of the world. No place other than KALKI could provide me with a soul-satisfying outfit for my wedding. Deepak complemented my look and looked dapper in an embroidered sherwani with embroidered juttis and together we looked like a million bucks ready to conquer the world.

Lights, Camera And Lots Of Action!!
We were so overjoyed and comfortable in our wedding dresses that no amount of posing and obliging the shutterbugs could dampen our spirits. The filmy poses of looking into each other’s eyes, dance poses, kissing on the forehead, admiring each other etc made it an exuberant experience that will be cherished forever.
