Our love story began the way so many Gujarati romances do: with the heartbeat of dandiya sticks and the electricity of Garba nights. In October 2019, somewhere between the music, the colours, and the chaos, we noticed each other. A quick exchange, a small spark – nothing we expected to grow.
But destiny clearly had a plan.
A few weeks later, at yet another Garba event, we crossed paths again. This time, we didn’t ignore the pull. Instagrams were exchanged. Late-night DMs turned into phone calls, which turned into marathon FaceTimes. By February 16, 2020, we made it official, not knowing how meaningful that date would become.
The Proposal, Lake Como, Italy
October 19, 2023, felt like a scene from a cinematic universe we didn’t know we were starring in. We were on a small boat crossing Lake Como, headed toward Villa Balbianello. The mountains were calm, the lake mirrored the sky, and there was a stillness that felt almost unreal.
When we reached the villa, the softest drizzle began, the beautiful, poetic kind that feels like nature adding its own soundtrack. We walked to a terrace overlooking the water, hand in hand. I could feel Parth’s nervous excitement. And then, in the soft rain and the quiet magic of Italy, he got down on one knee.
Locals smiled, the lake shimmered behind us, and before he could even finish asking… I said yes. A moment suspended in time.
The Destination Wedding, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
Five years after our official beginning, on February 16, 2025, we celebrated our wedding in Cabo San Lucas at the Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos. A four-day event filled with tradition, sunshine, ocean breeze, and the kind of joy that comes from having your people with you in paradise.
Before the ceremonies began, we took wedding portraits at Nobu Los Cabos, clean lines, stone textures, soft natural light, and minimal architecture framing our vibrant Indian outfits. It felt intimate, grounding, and incredibly “us.”
A Celebration That Went Global
Our guests travelled from Canada, the U.S., the U.K., and India. Sixty of them even flew with us on the same flight, which naturally turned into a party in the sky. A TikTok from that flight went viral and instantly set the tone for the celebrations ahead.
A Journey Held Together by Serendipity
From spotting each other across a Garba crowd in Gujarat, to saying yes in the rain in Lake Como, to celebrating love in Cabo, our story has travelled more than we ever imagined.
And through every place, every moment, every chapter, one thing has stayed constant: When love is meant for you, it finds its way across continents, timelines, and even crowded Garba nights.
