The Hunt For The Bridal Ensemble
It is every bride’s dream to look her best on her special day, leading to extra efforts in finding the most gorgeous wedding dress. My KALKI lehenga was straight out of my vision board exactly how I wanted it, royal red with the love of florals. The turkey red lehenga choli with floral motifs on the kali and hemline was a true masterpiece. The beautiful tassels, sweetheart neckline, intricate embroidery with resham, zardosi, sequins, and cut dana work in pink and gold gave the ensemble a ravishing look. The heavily embroidered dress was paired with two stunning net dupattas that enhanced the overall look. I chose a heavy necklace with statement-making jhumkas, a matha patti, a maang tikka, delicate hathphool, and bangles that made me feel euphoric. My magnificent Indian bridal lehenga from KALKI screamed opulence and class. The best thing about my wedding attire, and also my most treasured memory, is having my partner’s and my names inscribed on my veil, symbolizing our eternal love. The natural make-up and hair bun complemented the overall look. If my KALKI lehenga had a personality, it would be that of a royal queen waiting for her prince charming.
King Of My Life
My husband donned the look of a prince, wearing a beige embroidered sherwani paired with maroon churidar, dupatta, and turban. The beige juttis,kalgi on the turban, and the multi-layered necklace made him look truly royal.
The Queen’s Entry
The highlights being my grand ‘entry’ or ‘pravesh’ in a beautifully adorned doli. The doli, open from both sides and adorned with cascading flowers, mirrored the regality of queens making their entrance. It was as if I had stepped right into the pages of a bygone era, where every petal and flourish told a story of timeless splendor. The thorough decoration of the doli wasn’t just a visual treat; it was a nod to the grace and luxury of queen making their majestic entrance.
Royalty In Every Detail
The décor at our wedding echoed the richness of true Indian culture and heritage. With king-size chandeliers, towering pillar posts, and elaborate floral decorations, the entire venue exuded a magical and royal ambiance.
If I could time travel through my lehenga, I would journey back to the era of royal queens that I had envisioned, and, remarkably, this vision materialized through minor details like an aesthetic photoshoot in the dark, and a photoshoot set against a backdrop reminiscent of historical places.
Pyaar Bhare Lamhe
Some special pictures that are very close to my heart are the ones in which my mom’s excited face has been captured admiring my bridal avatar, my better half giving me a bouquet, the varmala ritual with a shower of flowers, and a few solo pictures of mine.
I could not contain my happiness on my special day, which was a blissful experience because of KALKI and by God’s grace. If my KALKI lehenga had a fortune cookie, it would simply say, “Dream it and live it”- exactly what I was doing.
