When Friendship Turns Into A Life Long Relationship
My beloved and I first met during a vacation trip with friends to Ocean City. The funny part about our first meeting was that we never imagined we would end up together. Surprisingly, as time passed, things took a different turn, and our relationship grew stronger and stronger as we got to know each other well. So much so that we became best friends. And on the memorable day of 13th August 2022, my best friend and now my beloved husband proposed to me to which I wholeheartedly said “Yes”. Finally, on 10th February 2023, we tied the knot and there has been no looking back ever since.
Never-Ending Love For Red
As a girl who loves to stick to traditions as much as she loves the colour red, the symbol of love, I was very clear that my wedding outfit would surely be a traditional red Indian bridal lehenga. I wished to embrace the graceful bridal lehenga as it would not only display my love and respect for my culture but would also make me look royal and elegant on my special day.
My Scintillating Dream Lehenga
I was very lucky to find my dream bridal lehenga at KALKI which made me feel on top of the world on my D-day. The red heavily embroidered traditional Indian wedding dress was an epitome of grace and sophistication. The embroidery with cut dana, sequins, resham, and zari gave a dazzling effect to the wedding outfit. The lehenga choli was paired with two gorgeous dupattas with embroidered borders and buttis all over. My bridal jewellery which comprised a heavy eye-catching kundan necklace set along with a long kundan mala, a nose ring, matha patti,maang tikka, and bangles complemented my look. The soft makeup along with a bun and gajra gave a resplendent look and made me feel like a princess. My better half looked no less than a prince in a white embroidered sherwani paired with a red embroidered dupatta, a red turban, and a long multi-layered white and red necklace which added an extra charm to his look.
A Dash Of Sunshine For The Haldi Ceremony
I was so smitten by the collection of bridal dresses at KALKI that I even shopped for my haldi dress there. I couldn’t have asked for anything better than the refreshing, yellow-coloured ruffled saree with an embroidered blouse, which looked spectacular and was a perfect choice for the religious ceremony. The floral jewellery in pink and yellow, consisting of a maang tikka, a necklace, earrings, and hathphool, added extra glamour to the outfit and made me feel ethereal. I was so elated and satisfied with my look that I just couldn’t help smiling and posing for the camera.
Some Cherished Moments
There were many special moments on the wedding day that left a lasting impression on our hearts. From being adorned in the most ravishing lehenga choli and walking down the aisle with a phoolon ki chadar over me as though showering me with blessings, being lifted by my brothers for the varmala ceremony, posing in my bridal dress to twirling around trying to show off my gorgeous bridal outfit all the moments were filled with extra joy and happiness. One moment that I cherished the most was our dance when we both saw each other in our bridal avatars for the first time. The peck on my head gave me a surreal feeling and will be one of my most treasured memories.
