I, Hanisha Wadhwani would like to share my interesting love story which had its share of ups and downs but came out victorious because of my beloved Vijay’s and my strong determination to make it work.
Crossing The Potholes And Beating All Odds
Our love story began in 2019 when I applied for a part-time job at the office where Vijay already worked. Our first mulaqat was me asking him the directions to the boss’s office for my interview and at that very moment I experienced a feeling of familiarity and could also feel butterflies in my stomach. Vijay had recently relocated to the island, making it unlikely for us to meet. However, fate had different ideas. I was hired by the company where my now better half worked as my manager. There was something khaas about our professional manager-employee relationship and we became good friends along with good colleagues. Within a month and a half, we both realized that there was something more to our relationship that was cooking up. Despite this realization, we were both sceptical about taking it further due to certain reasons. In January 2020 Vijay travelled to India for his twin brother’s wedding leaving me overwhelmed. I was aware that none of our families had an inkling about our relationship and because of that, his family was in the process of finding a girl for him. Vijay and I decided to spend quality time together outside of work, aiming to strengthen our bond and take our relationship to the next level.
Covid Aur Lambi Judai
Sadly, things don’t always work out as per our planning. One day after Vijay landed back from India, we went into a lockdown shattering our plans of meeting each other. With the store’s closure during the lockdown, the only way to stay in touch was through WhatsApp. I resumed work in mid-July after the situation got better and things started opening up. We all know change is the only constant in our life, so within 4 months I quit my job and moved to the UK because of which we wouldn’t be able to talk as much via WhatsApp. Both Vijay and I couldn’t take the ‘lambi judaai’ and also the ‘saat samundar par’ wala distance, which made us realize the depth of our love and fondness for each other, leading us to a readiness for commitment.
Rokafied To Forever
We were in a long-distance relationship for three years with many obstacles in our way which we both faced with courage and resilience. Sometimes we doubted the success of this relationship as it was the first time we were in a long-distance relationship and because we hadn’t spent much time together in person. But by God’s grace and because of our sacha – pyaar, we never gave up. I told my parents about my relationship with Vijay when I went home for a vacation after one and a half years. After meeting Vijay and getting to know him they were very happy with my choice. Vijay too informed his family about our love story and in June 2022, with the consent of both families, we got rokafied in a beautiful ceremony. We finally tied the knot and solemnised our relationship on the memorable day of 26th August 2023.
The Breathtakingly Gorgeous Outfit
For my roka ceremony, I chose to wear a mesmerising deep green ombre and gold embroidered lehenga choli that made me feel like a princess on my special day. The captivating hues along with the crushed, lustrous fabric of the lehenga and the choker dupatta, and the chic embroidery on the designer blouse looked ethereal. I opted for nude makeup and wavy hair for a delicate look. The matching bangles, chandelier earrings, and sleek maang tikka completed the look, exuding splendid vibes. Vijay looked dapper in a green suit complemented by a pink pocket square and a stunning brooch. Together, we resembled two lovebirds, brimming with excitement as we prepared to embark on a new journey ahead.
YAYY!! We Made It Finally!!
After being part of a tumultuous relationship, getting hitched to the love of my life was a dream come true. Our roka ceremony was an ecstatic event set in a captivating venue with picturesque landscapes. We made lots of precious memories holding each other’s hands and making lots of romantic poses that are now a part of our fondest memories.
