Our Love Story: From Friendship to Forever
I’ll spare you the long-winded tale because the story of how we met is as simple as it gets and can be summed up in just one sentence. “Hum toh chale the dost bankar, jaane kaha dil mill gaye”. Isn’t it the biggest blessing to get married to someone who is your friend, confidante, your partner in crime, your support system, and completes you in every way? Well, it is and I’m glad I’m one of those blessed ones.
The Royal Affair
Our wedding journey unfolded amidst a series of enchanting events, culminating in the grand finale. Despite the ‘Rajasthani Royal’ theme, our union beautifully intertwined Marwadi and Maharashtrian customs, reflecting our diverse backgrounds. Each occasion was marked by my choice of statement-making attire from a stunning tiered sharara set with a stunning ruffled pallu for the celebrations.
The chic pre-draped saree in vibrant green with ruffled sleeves and an elegant orange palazzo set paired with a cape were absolutely beautiful that gave a perfect look that I always dreamt of.
The scintillating baby pink gown and majestic Indian bridal lehenga added to the splendour, making me feel on top of the world at every event. The look of each bridal outfit was elevated by pairing it with appropriate attention-grabbing jewellery and accessories which enhanced the aura of the celebrations.
Moments of Love
The culmination of a five-year-long relationship is no less than an achievement and is incredibly precious. The most remarkable and heartwarming moment of the wedding was when my beloved walked towards me for our varmala ceremony, teary-eyed. The sight of the happy tears in his eyes touched me immensely, and that moment will remain ingrained in my heart forever. The haldi and sindoor ceremony also hold a special place in my heart and the thought of those golden moments makes me smile ear to ear.
The Jordaar Wedding Lehenga
I, being flexible, didn’t have anything specific in mind for my bridal outfit. All I wanted was a royal wedding lehenga that would be a perfect blend of colours, just like my personality. I chose a ravishing onion pink heavily embroidered Indian bridal lehenga which made me look jaw-droppingly beautiful on my wedding day. The embroidery embellished with scintillating cutdana stones and 3D flowers on the pink lehenga as well as the designer blouse added allure to the gorgeous ensemble. The two stunning dupattas enhanced the look of the bridal outfit manifold. What good is a wedding lehenga without dazzling bridal jewellery? My look was completed with eye-catching jewellery which comprised a magnificent choker necklace with exquisite jhumkas, a maang tikka, a nose ring, hathphool, chunky kundan kadas, and orange-coloured bangles that stole the show. If I had to describe my bridal avatar at that moment with the help of a song it would be ‘Pari hoon main’.
My beloved too looked dashing in a white heavily embroidered sherwani paired with a pink embroidered dupatta, waist belt, and a turban. He exuded royal charm by accessorising his attire with a multi-layered necklace, a kalgi, a sword, and a pair of mojaris.
Yeh Dil Maange More
I’m still reeling from the incredible shopping spree I had at KALKI.
