Being a fan of romantic movies, I was inspired by a Bollywood star and wished to emulate Deepika Padukone’s outfit in the song ‘Deewani Mastani’ from the film ‘Bajirao Mastani.’ I chose a scintillating sharara suit with a peplum blouse, an opulent and sophisticated traditional Indian wedding dress that reflects grace and regality. Instead of the gold tones in Deepika’s outfit, I opted for pearls and sequins in silver tones and incorporated a few contemporary elements to reflect my personal taste in the bridal outfit. The dazzling wedding dress style looked stunning and left everyone in awe. The swaying of the peplum blouse as I danced and twirled in happiness was the highlight of the evening, captivating the onlookers. I’m so glad I chose this mesmerizing sharara set for my engagement ceremony, as it allowed me the freedom to dance as smoothly as a breeze. I felt on top of the world embracing my splendid citrus green sharara set at my engagement ceremony. The intricate embroidery with all the glitter, the immaculate fit, and the details like the tassels hanging from the peplum blouse and the sheer back, along with the embroidered dupatta, gave a very magnificent look. The bridal outfit not only looked alluring but was also very comfortable, allowing me to revel in the festivities with ease. My jewellery comprised a statement-making pasa, a necklace set, and rings. The flawless makeup, along with open hair styled in loose curls, completed the look. My beloved wore a dapper, colour-coordinated Indo-Western set paired with mojaris, which made him look very handsome and stole my heart.

Our engagement ceremony was a majestic affair that radiated both bling and positivity. The theme was in accordance with the glamour and grandness of the silver pearls and sequins adorned on the engagement outfit and aimed at creating an ambience that screamed sophistication and class. The venue too was well decorated with flowers and lights and looked phenomenal. We chose the soothing and refreshing pistachio green colour that resonated with the charm of the spring season which falls in March. The magical colour filled the festivities with ecstatic vibes and vibrant energy. My better half’s Indian wedding men wear was also in sync with the theme which added an extra oomph to the occasion.

Overflowing Emotions

Our engagement ceremony was a heartwarming event graced by all our loved ones. One of the most cherished moments was when we exchanged rings amidst all the love and warmth. I was deeply touched when my beau went down on his knees to put the engagement ring on my finger, and I reciprocated in the same way to make him feel special. Slipping the precious rings onto each other’s fingers was symbolic of the commitment we had made to be there for each other through thick and thin. It was a milestone for our families as well, as they welcomed new members into their tribe. I was overwhelmed to see my dream come true, looking exactly the way I wanted to.
